The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Scott Housley has been appointed to serve a five-year term on the organization’s Board of Directors. He was nominated by PremierBank and will be replacing W. Foundation helps fund new Embraced Playground at Jones Park

A special new playground in Jones Park was dedicated on Thursday night, October 15, 2015. Designed expressly for youngsters aged one to five, the new playground was spearheaded by Laura Becker and the Embraced organization to be a visual focal point and support for those families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. As part of the evening dedication, a candlelight vigil was held in honor of national Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. 2015 Karrels Computer Science Scholarship recipients

FACF is proud to announce that 14 Fort Atkinson High School students were awarded the Foundation’s $1,000 Ed Karrels AP Computer Science Scholarship at the August 2015 School Board meeting. They earned this award by successfully completing the computer science AP class at Fort Atkinson High School and also by passing the computer science AP test with a score of 3, 4, or 5.
