The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation recently awarded Walter and Louise Buell Graduate Scholarships, totaling $16,000, to ten Fort Atkinson students. These scholarships are possible thanks to Louise Buell who directed that, upon her death, the residue of her estate be given to the Community Foundation with half of that gift to be used for scholarships. Buell Graduate Scholarships are available to residents of Fort Atkinson or graduates of Fort Atkinson High School who are enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in a graduate program at an accredited college or university, leading to a masters, doctorate, or professional degree.
