Foundation now accepting scholarship applications

Fort Scholarships – the online scholarship application website sponsored by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation – is now open and accepting applications for the 2015 scholarship season.

Local students will find Fort Scholarships to be a very convenient one-stop shop where they can review the eligibility requirements for a whole host of local scholarships and then apply for those for which they qualify. Housed on the site are all the scholarship offerings of the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation, Fort Memorial Hospital Foundation, and most of those offered through Fort Atkinson High School.

To access the Fort Scholarships website, students should start their scholarship search at the websites of Fort Atkinson High School, the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation, or Fort HealthCare where they will find comprehensive listings of all the scholarships these organizations offer, along with their eligibility requirements.

To view all the scholarships offered by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation, visit To access the high school’s scholarship information, go to and click on links to Fort Atkinson High School, then ‘pupil services,’ then ‘scholarship information.’ And to view scholarships offered by the Fort Memorial Hospital Foundation, visit and follow the links to their scholarship page.

All three sites will provide a link directing potential applicants to the Fort Scholarships website. Here applicants will create an account and begin working on their application – one application that will be used for all the scholarships for which they choose to apply. When selecting scholarship opportunities, applicants will have a chance to review the eligibility requirements for each scholarship to make sure they qualify for those they select.

The application on the Fort Scholarships site can be worked on intermittently as the work can be saved and applicants can log in later and pick up where they left off.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. There is no advantage gained by submitting an application early as reviewers will not have access to any applications before the February 15th deadline.
