The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation is pleased to award $12,000 in scholarships to four local students from its Jim and Lee Vance Scholarship Fund.    The Vance Scholarship Fund was established at the Foundation in 2015 thanks to a sizable bequest from the estate of the late Lee Vance. Compas receives Knapp Scholarship

The Board of Directors of the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded a $3,000 Robert and Judith Knapp Scholarship to John Compas.   Compas, a 2015 graduate of Fort Atkinson High School, will be a senior this year at UW-Madison where he is double majoring in computer science and computer engineering. After graduating in May 2019, Compas hopes to combine the abstract problem-solving of computer science with his engineering training to pursue a career creating original products. The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation offers a number of scholarships for students who are already attending college. Continuing students should visit the Foundation’s website, www.fortfoundation.org, and follow the link to the scholarship pages. Here they can search for scholarships based on whether they are currently an undergraduate or graduate student. There are also scholarships for continuing vocational or technical school students. The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation is now accepting online applications for 36 different scholarships available to Fort Atkinson students. Some of these scholarships are open to students planning to pursue a post-secondary education at a vocational or technical school and four scholarships are designed exclusively for such students.
